Empowering Tribal Lives
Sustainable Opportunities for
Dignity, Livelihood, and Growth

For generations, tribal families in the Narmada region have lived close to the land, sustaining themselves through farming and traditional livelihoods. When tourism began transforming the region after the rise of the Statue of Unity, new hotels, roads, and businesses followed — but many tribal households remained on the sidelines, watching growth pass by their doorsteps. The opportunity was visible, yet not within reach

The Tribal Homestay Initiative

Arvind Limited launched the Tribal Homestay Project—an initiative that reimagines tourism as a platform for inclusion, not displacement. By converting homes into guest accommodations near the Statue of Unity, the program connects tribal families to the region’s growing tourism economy while preserving their cultural identity. With infrastructure support, entrepreneurship training, and sustained handholding, families are not just participants, but co-owners of their growth journey.
