Why We Started GYANDA
Even in communities where children attend school, many silently struggle — battling comprehension gaps, low self-belief, and a lack of academic help at home.
We asked ourselves:

GYANDA was created to answer these questions. It bridges the space between school and success — supporting learners from primary grades to higher secondary, ensuring consistent mentorship for 8–12 years until they are ready for higher education or work.

Komal joined GYANDA through SHARDA Trust — the CSR arm of Arvind Ltd. With steady mentoring and consistent academic support, she cleared her board exams, pursued a nursing degree at BJ Medical College, and now serves as a government nurse at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad — the same place where her father once sold vegetables.

Today, Komal and her sister Kusum, also a GYANDA alumna, are both employed, together earning over 5 times her father’s income. They are proud homeowners and have built a life of dignity — proving how learning can lift entire families out of poverty.
